"¡Pensé que eran argentinos!"

Ok so on Monday a pretty terrible day became the best day ever. It was completely crazy and full of failures. I had to turn in this giant application for a state funded undergraduate research fellowship. I thought it was going to take half an hour. Try that times 4. I was supposed to be in Rogers at interpreter training (I've been interpreting for parent teacher conferences in Springdale and now in Rogers. It's so much fun!) at 12 but didn't finish with the application stuff till after 1. Oops. That meant I had to skip class and go to the 6:30 training. But first I was supposed to go to Springdale and start my thesis. But justo cuando llegué the whole school had to go to an assembly. Turned around and came home. But then things start looking up because I got an awesome halloween package from my mom! Then somehow we arrived late to the training. Oops. It was super intimidating because of course my friend Cooper and I were the ONLY white people. So we walked in late and there was this really intimidating woman speaking so fast in Spanish. But then the best thing in the entire world happened. At the end of the training this woman next to me asked us where we were from and when I said I was from Dallas she turned to the other women at the table and said "¡Mira! Son americanos! Pensé que eran argentinos!" She thought we were Argentines because at some point during the presentation she heard me speak when I asked a few questions. BEST THING EVER!!!!! I mean, she heard me say all of like 3 sentences but either way, a native Spanish speaker thought I was from Argentina. Best. Day. Ever.

Dormiré cuando muera

So I don't know how it came to be that it is already almost november and feels like the semester started just a second ago. I didn't think time could go faster than it did in Argentina, but apparently I was wrong. Life has been completely insane and I can't believe that in just 6 months I'm graduating. And then everyone is leaving and I start the MAT. crazy. this semester, it is a huge struggle to get everything done in the right amount of time. I don't understand how I became worse at time management than I was freshman and sophomore year (when I was actually a good student and did things with friends at the same time). Now either all my time somehow evaporates magically or I just don't use it well. Gotta be the first one. No time for anything, and I don't even know how because I'm not even in that demanding of a major. oh well. I'll sleep when I'm dead I guess :) Actually today was a kind of chill day, hence the blogging. But maybe one day life will slow down a bit.
