So I recently (kind of) got back from a lovely visit to Buenos Aires. Due to some craziness caused by the ashes of that Chilean volcano, I ended up spending a crazy day in Lima and wayyyyy too much time in airports and on planes. But I made it, al fin! And it was 100% worth it. It's kind of crazy to think that I hadn't even been gone a year. It felt like so much longer. But also, when I got there, it was almost like I had never even left! I was surprised at how quickly it all came back to me. Even with some lost luggage and difficult dealings with LAN airlines, and my apparent inability to be in an airport without crying, it all was fantastic. I stayed with one of my best friends and her most wonderful family, got to spend a lot of time with some wonderful friends, visit some places I never got to see last time, and even learned a little Italian and made some new friends! Two weeks in Buenos Aires and I was in love all over again! I discovered a new favorite place-- Paseo la Plaza! Lots of restaurants, bars, shops and theaters. We saw an Argentine battle of the bands as well as La Guerra de los Roses, a hilarious and kind of tragic play. It was still hard to leave, but one thing's for sure- I'll be back!
